§01

Scope and audience

This notice covers personal information we collect from public visitors to anseidynamics.com and from individuals who contact us via published email channels. It does not govern information handled under government contracts, security-cleared personnel records, classified or controlled programs, or Protected / Controlled Goods material, each of which is managed under separate, contractually mandated regimes (notably the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) of Public Services and Procurement Canada).

§02

Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to operate this site and respond to inbound inquiries.

  • Site telemetry. Aggregate request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp, referer) for security monitoring, abuse detection, and basic usage analytics. Retained for 90 days.
  • Inquiry data. Name, employer, professional email, and the contents of any message you send to a published mailbox (e.g., hello@anseidynamics.com).
  • Recruitment data. If you apply for a role, the contents of your application, résumé, and any information you disclose during interviews. Pre-employment screening (including security clearance vetting under the Industrial Security Program) is conducted only with separate written consent.
  • Cookies. Strictly functional cookies for session continuity. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
§03

How we use information

We use personal information to respond to your inquiry, evaluate potential business or research relationships, assess candidates for employment, protect our systems, and meet our legal obligations as a Canadian government supplier — including obligations under contracts administered by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and, where applicable to cross-border defense programs under the Canada–U.S. Defence Production Sharing Arrangement (DPSA), by the U.S. Department of Defense.

§04

Export-controlled information

Our work involves technical data and technologies subject to the Defence Production Act (controlled goods), the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA) and its Export Control List (ECL), and — for U.S.-origin components — the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR §§120–130) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 CFR §§730–774). Do not transmit controlled technical data to us through this website or unencrypted email. If you believe a matter involves controlled information, contact us first so we can arrange an appropriate channel and verify authorization.

DO NOT SUBMIT CLASSIFIED, CONTROLLED-GOODS, ITAR-CONTROLLED, OR PROTECTED-MARKED MATERIAL VIA THIS SITE.
§05

Security

We protect personal information using technical and organizational measures aligned with the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) guidance, including ITSG-33 (IT Security Risk Management — A Lifecycle Approach), and with Document Safeguarding requirements under the Contract Security Program (CSP). For cross-border defense work, we additionally align with NIST SP 800-171 and are progressing toward CMMC Level 2 assessment. Access to inbound communications is limited to personnel with a need-to-know.

§06

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with: (i) service providers bound by written confidentiality and security obligations; (ii) prospective customers, partners, or investors with your knowledge during a defined engagement; and (iii) government authorities where required by Canadian law, including under court order, the PSPC Industrial Security Sector, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in the course of lawful security or counter-intelligence investigations.

§07

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Inquiries are retained for up to 24 months; candidate records are retained for up to 36 months consistent with Canadian Human Rights Commission and provincial human-rights tribunal recordkeeping guidance; site logs are retained for 90 days. Records related to government contracts may be retained longer under applicable retention schedules and Library and Archives of Canada guidance.

§08

Your rights

You have rights to access, correct, port, and (in defined circumstances) delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent, under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector ("Law 25", formerly Bill 64). Substantially similar provincial laws may apply if you reside in Alberta, British Columbia, or Quebec. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@anseidynamics.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and certain rights are limited where retention is required by law, by a federal contract, or for the establishment or defense of legal claims. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) or the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).

§09

International transfers

Ansei operates primarily from Canada. Personal information may be transferred to, or accessed from, service providers and authorized government counterparts located outside Quebec or Canada — including in the United States — for the purposes described in this notice. Where required by Quebec Law 25, we conduct a transfer-impact assessment before disclosing personal information outside Quebec and put contractual safeguards in place. By using the site, you understand that information transferred outside Canada may be subject to foreign legal process.

§10

Minors

This site is intended for adult business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 14 years of age (the threshold for valid consent under Quebec Law 25 absent parental authorization). If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

§11

We will update this notice as our practices and obligations evolve. Material changes will be noted by updating the version and effective date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
